Our listings include a special selection of inventory, 
currently on consignment with the Davistown Museum 
of Liberty Maine. Twenty percent of the proceeds
from the sale of these paintings (designated in the catalog pages with a "DTM") will be donated to support the Davistown Museum.

Please note that not all the artwork consigned to the Davistown Museum for fundraising purposes is located at the museum (DTM); several items are located at our Hulls Cove office. Numerous other paintings, prints and books have also been consigned to help raise money for the museum and are listed in Catalog 3 of the museum publication series. Many other artworks located in Hulls Cove are for sale but have yet to be listed in the fundraising campaign. Please visit the Davistown Museum Maine Artists Guild gallery complex on the second floor of the museum to see a wonderful selection of contemporary Maine art. Signed "Milton Avery 45" in lower left corner. The perspective in this 1945 study
references Avery's training as a traditional painter in Connecticut during his early career.

Degas, Hilare Germain Edgar (1834 – 1917) "Portrait of Mlle. Carpentier
Oil on canvas. 
Signed “Degas” on the front lower left hand corner, also signed “Degas” 
on the back of the frame with the inscription “Mlle. (?) Carpentier.” 
We believe that this portrait was painted in Paris at approximately 
the same time as “The Family Bellelli” (1858 - 1867), just prior to 
his embracing the Impressionistic style.
